Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

Aim & Objectives of the Organization: a) Promotion of Micro Small Medium Enterprise.b) Development of Ancillary Down Stream Industries.c) Implementation of Government Sponsored Programme.d) Promotion of Handicraft & Cottage Industries.e) Implementation of Khadi Board Programme of OKVIB, Bhubaneswar. 2. Mission/ Vision: a) Industrialization of the District by using Local Resources & to create Employment opportunities under MSME sector.b) Development of Rural Artisan based units & to provide necessary assistance for revival & rehabilitation of Handicraft Artisans.c) Creation of Self Employment & Employment Opportunity both in Rural & Urban areas. 3. Brief History & Background of its Establishment: District Industries Centre, Angul is headed by General Manager, is functioning at Hemsurpada, Angul since January 2000. Prior to this, the Development of Industries Sector was looked after by District Industries Centre, Dhenkanal. 4. Organization Chart:

Though there is provision for one IPO for each Block due to shortage of staff, only 4 IPOs are posted in the Field & two IPOs working at Head Qtr One in additional charge of Angul & Chhendipada Block
