Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1) Aim & Objective of the Public Authority:
The objective of the Public Authority is for planning, execution & supervision of development Programmes & implementation of various schemes & works in the block relating to community development
2) Mission/ Vision Statement of the Public Authority:
The mission is to work for the economic development & social justice of the People.
3) Brief History & Back ground for its establishment:
Rural India is where three-fourth of countrymen live. For all round development of the rural people, this block is started functioning with effect from dt.02.10.1953 & there after it has been converted to CD block w.e.f. 1.4.1956 CD Stage-I & II Dt. 31.3.1963, post stage from dt.1.4.1963 & there after continuing as post stage till date.
4) Duties of the Public Authority:
Good work culture, punctuality, dexterity, timely performance, avoidance of all corrupt practices & sensitivity to public needs are duties of the Public authorities.
5) The Main Activities/ Functions of the Public Authorities:
The main activities/ functions of the Public Authority are to provide wage employment & self employment to rural poor & creation of assets for infrastructure development of the Public & Ensure Social Justice of the Public.
6) List of Services being provided by the Public Authority with a brief write up on then:
The services are provided by the public authority as follows:
i) Distribution of pension under OAP/ NOAP/ ODP, free rice under AY, & Subsidized rice under AAY are made to the beneficiaries on 15TM of each month I.E. on Jana Seva Diwas at GP Headquartersii) Distribution of assistance under NFBS is made to bereaved householdiii) Free house is provided to the poor, distress, fire & flood victims & SC/ ST beneficiaries of BPL categories under IAY & PMGYiv) Loan is provided to the Self Help Groups & physically handicapped persons of BPL Families under SGSY & MMLP (OSFDC) for creation of self employment & to Be self sufficientv) Employment opportunities are provided to the rural poor under different Wage Employment Programmesvi) Permanent assets are created under development programmes for infrastructure development in the areavii) Control commodities are supplied to the public at the Govt. price through retailers & SHGSviii) Free cooked food is supplied to the school children up to class-V under M.D.M.ix) Distribution of scholarship is made to SC/ ST students.
7) Expectation of the Public Authority from the Public for enhancing its effectiveness & efficiency:
Co-operation from the Public is expected for smooth implementation of different Schemes.
8) Arrangements & methods made for seeking Public contribution:
For seeking Public participation, nodal meetings, Pallisabha & Gramsabha are held at GP Level.
