1. Aims & Objectives of the Organization:
Rengali Dam Division is established to look after maintenance of Dam & Reservoir.
2. Mission/ Vision:
a. Flood control.b. Water for energy generation.
3. Objective/ Purpose of the Public Authority:
Maintenance of Rengali Dam and Reservoir & Resettlement work.
4. Brief History & Background of its Establishment:
Rengali Dam was constructed over river Brahmani in the District of Angul to control flood & production of energy. The Project was completed during 1984.
5. Duties of the Public Authority:
To look after the Maintenance works and Other works.
6. Main Activities/ Functions of the Public Authority:
Reservoir operation & Dam maintenance.
7. Allocation of Business:
a. Rengali Dam Sub-Division No. I: Dam maintenance reservoir with flood control.b. Rengali Dam Sub-Divn. II- Colony maintenance, water supply and road.c. D & G Sub-Divn.: Dewatering of gallery, D & G works. Stock & stores.d. Electrical Sub-Division: Electrical maintenance of Dam & colony.
8. Duties to be Performed to Achieve the Mission:
Maintenance work is being done under non-plan Scheme.
9. Expectation of the Public Authority from the Public for enhancing its effectiveness and efficiency:
Co-operation of Public is required in Resettlement works.
